DOES THE TRAGEDY OF CHILDHOOD CANCER DISPROVE GOD?

Some atheists claim that childhood cancer shows a good and powerful God does not exist. Actually, it proves God does exist. While that philosophical answer is not the one I would give to people in the midst of such a tragedy (they need a pastor, not a philosopher), the answer is sound and might be helpful at a later time.
